Plan your own Portugal golf trip — free
Portugal is one of the easiest and best-value golf trips in Europe, and our free planner makes it simple — no travel agent required. Build a complete day-by-day itinerary in a couple of minutes: pick your bases, choose the courses and hotels you want on an interactive map, and get a shareable plan you can book yourself, in euros, with no fees and no sign-up.
How the planner works
1 · Pick your bases. The Algarve's courses cluster within 30–40 minutes of each other, so a single base gives you a full week without long drives. Fly into Faro for the Algarve or Lisbon for the Silver Coast, and add where you want to stay — around Quinta do Lago and Almancil, or lively Vilamoura.
2 · Choose your courses. As you build, the map suggests the great courses near each base — Monte Rei, Quinta do Lago South, Oitavos Dunes and the rest — with visitor info and how to book each one. Most are resort-run and take tee times online.
3 · Add hotels and build the itinerary. Pick a hotel for each base from the map, and the planner lays out your whole trip — courses, nights and drives, day by day. Then download it as a PDF or share the link with your playing partners. (For a single Algarve base, it is worth comparing a resort stay-and-play package too.)
Who it's for
It is built for the independent golfer: fourballs on a winter-sun buddies trip, couples mixing golf with the beach, and anyone who would rather keep the money they would spend on an agent and put it toward another round. You stay in control of every choice and book everything directly — the real price, full flexibility, no marked-up middleman.
Example routes
An Algarve week. Base in the central Algarve around Almancil or Vilamoura and play Quinta do Lago South, Vale do Lobo, Vilamoura and, for a special day, Monte Rei in the east.
Golf around Lisbon. Base in Cascais on the Lisbon coast for Oitavos Dunes and Penha Longa, then run north to the Silver Coast for West Cliffs— golf, history and one of Europe's great cities in one trip.
Why book direct
We do not sell packages or take a booking fee. The planner points you straight to each resort's own tee sheet and to hotel search for your dates, so you always deal directly — the real price, full flexibility, no marked-up middleman. When you are ready, start with the best courses in Portugal, or pick a region and go.

Common questions
When is the best time for a golf trip to Portugal?
October to May is prime season — warm, dry winter-sun golf when northern Europe is frozen. Spring and autumn are ideal. Midsummer is playable but hot, so early tee times are essential in July and August.
Which region of Portugal is best for golf?
The Algarve is the heartland — the greatest concentration of courses, resorts and winter sun. The Lisbon and Silver Coast region to the north is the fast-rising rival, home to Oitavos Dunes and the dramatic West Cliffs.
How many rounds can I fit into a Portugal golf week?
The Algarve’s courses sit close together, so five or six rounds in a week is comfortable without long drives. Basing around Vilamoura or Quinta do Lago keeps most of the best courses within 30 minutes.
Do I need a car for a golf trip to Portugal?
It helps a lot, though not always essential. Resort clusters like Quinta do Lago and Vilamoura are walkable or shuttle-served, but a hire car makes it easy to reach the spread of courses from Faro across the western Algarve.
