It weighs championship pedigree and design heritage, the quality and drama of the golf itself, setting, condition and value, and lands each course near where the game’s best-known names sit, so the numbers feel familiar.

This page ranks the top 100 across all five countries in a single list. Because the depth of world-class links in Ireland and Scotland outstrips the rest, both top out at 9.8 (Royal County Down and St Andrews), with England, Wales and Portugal scaled just below. Each course also carries an Edge Rank within its own country — shown on its page.
